The COVID-19 numbers are way lower than predicted, but why?

Right now, COVID-19 is still making its way though our population, killing thousands with thousands more most likely to pass away. It is now being noticed that the numbers of dead/infected are going down, not up. The Legacy Media is putting out a bunch of speculations as to why, most of which is just an attempt at clickbaiting in the hopes of getting people to watch or reading their trash.

One reason being given, a reason that is less world ending, is that sheltering at home is working. Something I don’t buy when looking at the numbers. Sure, it had some effect, just doubtful it had the effect a reduce the numbers we have seen. I want to us this post to put forth better explanation.

Instead, I think a big reason for this, is something I’ve been saying for sometime now, especially on Twitter. It’s that the software used to make predictions about COVID-19 has shown itself to be highly inaccurate what before tough self isolation number had been issued.

You see, the company that puts out this kind of prediction mapping software has a long history of being inaccurate, receiving a lot of well deserved criticism in the past. So far, the software called, “COVID Act Now” doesn’t appear to be to be in any way accurate. In cases it’s wrong by a factor of 400.

Before NY had gone into lock down to the point of arresting people for the constitutional right of peaceful assembly, the software had predicted that by March 19th, there was going to be 5,400 people hospitalized. When in reality that number was around 750. That’s not just wrong by a small acceptable margin of error, that is horribly wrong.

Same with Tennessee that predicted on March, 19th, that there would be 190 cases where people were hospitalized for COVID-19. When that date arrived there only 15 cases. Again, the software is showing itself to be incredibly inaccurate. Sadly, this is the software that governors and even many Health officials are using that is scaring them into locking down their cities and destroying their economies of their states.

Worse yet, the software used was designed by a Democrat activist group with members actively fighting to get Trump out of office. This is something that I would think could never pass peer review without assurances that their bias isn’t interfering with the outcome. Sadly, this software has not gone through the peer review process. The people who own the software have not even provide their source code for people to check. Meaning there is the possibility intentional skewing of numbers for political reasons.

I am not saying they did, it could just really bad programming, but it is always a possibility that the numbers were messed with in such a way that it was intended to try and make President Donald Trump look bad, or for some other reason. I can only hope that’s not what happened. However, it is hard to explain how their mapping software can be off so badly and always in a way to make it seem like the numbers are larger than they are.

With that said, the people who make the decisions for their states are not medical experts and even their medical experts are not computer experts knowledge on how predictive algorithms work, so they are relying on the results of predictive mapping software to help aid in their decision-making process. When that software is giving bad information, bad choices are going to be made by them in response.

Think about this, how messed up would it be if we shut the economy down, causing Millions to become unemployed, destroying who knows how many businesses because a computer program messed up a line of code.
