So I can see, from her point of view, how difficult it would be to bring in yet another child when she can barely afford one that she already has. And in today’s world it’s very difficult for any person to be a single parent even if they are financially well off. But when they’re not then, it becomes that much more difficult.

For a moment I sat there a little bit stunned. I never expected to overhear such a conversation. I mean I know people on the Internet who support abortion/ a woman’s right to choose. But I never expected to know anybody who was actually thinking about doing it and was with child. I’ve never even met anybody who has ever openly admitted they had an abortion performed on them.

The next few moments I sat there, contemplating, the idea of, should I even get involved (Which now I am kicking myself in the butt, for even thinking I of not doing or saying something). Finally, I did decide to do something. I got up I walked away from her and I asked the nurse for a box of Kleenex. Then I walked over and put the Kleenex in front of her and said, take some. She thanked me in a way that made me think that she probably had not had anybody do anything
kind for her in a long time.

I then return the box and sat down beside her. I didn’t say anything for a few minutes. Mainly because, I was trying to figure out what I can or, should say in that situation. This was a very personal matter. So, getting involved in someones personal matters is something I feel is usually something that should be avoided. But again, this was a very important moral issue. And I felt like if I don’t do anything or say anything. Then I would be complicit with this act. Not to mention how absolutely horrible and guilty I would feel if I didn’t do anything when it comes to what I believe is morally wrong.

And seeing that now I have a kid on the way, how can I look into my child’s eyes and explained to this child that daddy may have been able to do something to save a life and did nothing.

However, as I sat there I just could not figure out what to say. What if I said something to her . moved her into making  the wrong decision even though I had good intentions? What if I pushed her to hard? And she decided to do it as some form of, “I will show him”.

So there were so many things that I can do that definitely wouldn’t help the situation. I just simply was not ready, equipped or educated enough to confront her and have a one-on-one with the hopes that she will make a morally right decision.

So after going over this in my head for a little while with no solution of how to even start the conversation, I remembered I had a card in my pocket for the Phoenix pregnancy crisis center. A Christian organization that provides alternatives to abortion, like connecting couples looking to adopt with those who are willing to bring their child to term and give that child a chance to live.

I then just took the card out of my wallet and gave it to the young lady and told her “there are alternatives to what you’re thinking of doing”. She took the card looked but, then, her name was called and she left the room.

I then bowed my head and began praying for this woman. I pray that she would make the morally right choice. And that her situation would get better. But I also prayed that if she made the morally wrong choice that she would not be physically harmed by the procedure. And that when (if) she recognizes what she has done, that she will not suffer too much from the decision. But instead, learn from it. And perhaps help others in the future who one day may find themselves in a similar situation, using her experience to be be able to prevent them from the same mistake.

I hope that she called one of the numbers on the card and has found help. And has made the morally right decision.

I asked that all my readers pray for this unknown woman. No matter what choice she makes.

When turning on the news I see no reports of any earthquake as described by Harold Camping nor do I see any reports of any missing people, which one might expect when it comes to the rapture.

I wonder if this is supposed to take place later on in the afternoon or at night when I’m going to bed. But according to Harold Camping, those of us who are most likely where probably never going to see the sunrise. But here I am. The sun has risen and I still remain on earth. And I would suspect I’m here with the vast majority of those of us who are saved.

I do not think it would be out of line to make a prophecy of my own and predict that I will safely make it to my bed, fall asleep and wake up tomorrow in my bed, never hearing or seeing any reports of anything that we would expect if Harold Camping was right. I think my prophecy has a little bit better chance of being fulfilled, then Harold Camping prophecy. After all, he already predicted this in the past. And guess what? We Are still here.

So I think the outcome will be the same. And Harold Camping will just come out with some kind of excuse. Similar to last time, if not the same. Saying that he just miscalculated. And go on with his life. While many other people will have their lives severely affected by his prophecy for judgment day. From divorces/splitting the family up, quitting their jobs, selling their worldly possessions, suicide and so on. And I wouldn’t doubt that Harold Camping will probably be better off financially from all the donations that will have been sent to him and his organization from the people who believe the end of the world was coming.

So what Harold Camping has done will have a very negative impact. But what I don’t know is if Harold Camping knowingly did this for the purpose of having this negative impact on Christians/Christianity, to make a buck, or even if he genuinely thought he was doing good. Thinking that if he makes a doomsday prediction he will get a lot of people who will think “well, just in case I will become a Christian.” But of course these kind of people are not saved (But they do make donations), because they do not genuinely believe, they just believe just in case the end of the world is coming. But of course after doomsday comes and goes, so do these people.

Sadly, after this day has come and gone. Many of his followers will buy whatever excuse he gives them for why Judgment Day did not come. At come. And so they will continue following this false prophets blindly.

However, it was incredibly difficult to read because, whoever they got to translate their instructions into English obviously dropped out of English 101. Reading it was absolutely hilarious and I couldn’t help feel a bit humiliated for this company that does not know just how bad and hard it is for the English reader to follow their instructions due to this horrendous translating job.

To give you an example. My favorite part in this translating job is when it says the following (this is word for word, mistake for mistake of what it says in the instructions):

 “Sensitivity just. When the unit not work,press “C” and hold on until you hear(you should loose your hands after you hear each sound):” (From gallop bicycle alarm instructions page. Under usage, section 5)

I don’t know about you, but now I’m afraid the press and hold down “C” for I will lose my hands in doing so.

Don’t get me wrong. I have horrible grammar but this, makes me look like I am an English scholar.

Anyways I am providing a copy of the instructions for my readers, entertainment.

I have scanned photos before with no problems but, yesterday after spending many hours doing this the scanning software on my computer crashed and for some reason it deleted every last photo saved on my computer except one.

For the life of me I can’t figure out why it did this. But, I can tell you I was vary frustrated at all the time I spent scanning hundreds of photos only to have them disappear without being able to recover them.

What kind of programer, programs their software to delete all (but one) saved photos previously scanned after their software crashes? Because, of this I will need to take percussion that will make the whole process take longer if I want to back up my photos.

At lest it did not delete this photo. As this must be one of my favorites.

This did not take long at all. And it’s amusing (And sad). It seems the reason why these people think there’s some kind of conspiracy is because of the medias inaccuracy in reporting things. But to these conspiracy theorists it’s not the medias fault, it’s the government’s fault.

So now, I’m going to end up getting into it with the conspiracy theorist who believes Osama Bin Laden was spotted singing with Elvis and the guy who shot Kennedy.

Personally, I wish he would have been captured alive and held on trial so that the family’s of the innocent men, women and children he murdered in the name of his false god allah, could have had the chance to confront him in court and give him a peace of their mind before his sentencing. However, I will settle for this outcome.

Although, I will not celebrate Osama bin laden death. For I can’t get my self to feel good and celebrate how a man who rejected Christ as his lord and savor, only dies and is forever be separated from God.

The good thing that comes from this is that now, American and really the world in general can feel a little bit safer knowing that their is one less evil person out there who seeks to harm and kill anyone who does not fallow his false god allah. And the family’s of the people killed on September 11th can continue or even finish the healing process.

I even believe that television contributed to some of my problems in my youth. I was more interested in watching television than playing with my friends. And because television was so very stimulating to my young mind, I just couldn’t get enough of it.

I end up not doing my homework except on the bus going to and from school because, I didn’t want to interrupt my television time. Needless to say, school just was not interesting to me at all. And I felt at that time that, my time would be better spent in front of the television.

So I was not very well educated as a child. I just didn’t pay any attention. Most of my day at school was spent imagining some of the things that I saw on television or just waiting impatiently to get back home and watched television.

From my experience I can see how the television has negatively affected me and this is one of the things that worries me about my child, that is on the way. I don’t want my child to be affected like I was. I want my child to enjoy playing with his friends and to enjoy what he learns in school. And I especially want him/her to develop a great imagination that comes from reading story books. Something that still to this day I cannot really get into because, story books just are not stimulating enough for me to get into.

So yesterday I was talking with my wife and we have decided that for the first few years of the child’s life he or she will not be exposed to television. After that it will be a rarity… A treat. If you will. A treat that happens on a special occasion.

By doing this, I think we will be able to reduce some of the behavioral problems that seem to become larger due to television. Also I think this gives my wife and I a chance to spend more time with our kids raising them ourselves. Instead of letting the television do it for us.

I often find it amazing that, many parents are doing their own thing while their kid(s) is just sitting in front of the television with little to no parental supervision. And later, when the child is acting out and having problems. For repeating some of the things they hear and see on television. The parent ends up putting the blame somewhere else (Ironically on the television), instead of accepting the blame on themselves when it is they who put their kids in front of the television unattended and exposed to a great deal of many different things.

I understand today. It’s a difficult task to raise a child. But the television should not be the babysitter. For my wife and I, particularly myself, this will be a difficult thing. Because I’m still partially addicted to the television. However, it’s not so bad. The wife and I will still be watching television. It just will not be in the same room. It will most likely be done on the computer when our responsibilities as parents is no longer needed. And seeing that we only watch a few shows between us. Anyways. Shows that we can find easily on the Internet from such sites as Hulu.com are not exactly making a very huge sacrifice. Wo we will only be doing things a little bit different.

Ultimately this could also be good for the wife and I because, instead of just turning on the television and watching it, which is not very constructive for the relationship. We will spend more time with each other. Having conversations and spending our time together. Giving us the opportunity to develop a relationship even further. And really, what better way to continue our successful marriage then to continue developing it and growing stronger with each other by spending time with each other and stimulating each other with conversation. Instead of allowing television to stimulate us.

We will not just be stopping at television. This will also include video games. Instead of plotting the kid in front of the Xbox or PlayStation will come together as a family to play family oriented games like, chutes and ladders and monopoly…Games that have fallen out of favor.

Instead will post about something that has me scratching my head a little and that is how, in the latest Superman comic book, Superman says he will renounces his US citizenship.

That’s right Superman may be giving up his citizenship because he sick and tired of his actions being construed “as instruments of US policy.” Don’t get me wrong, I understand this. As an American. Apparently everything I say, do and think is all because of US propaganda. And the problems of everybody else’s around the world is obviously the result of US policies.

So I get the United States is bad and evil. And if anybody wants to do something because they really want to do good, they can’t be an American.

Of course I can see where this comic book is heading if that was the message. But in reality it’s probably because there’s a Canadian artist doing the comic book and he probably wants to also feel like Superman is a little bit for him and his country as well. And ultimately, I really doubt that Superman is going to renounces it. Even though, many sources and supposedly reputable newspapers are falsely reporting that he has already renounced his citizenship. Not surprisingly, these are somewhat more anti-US newspapers, such as the Los Angeles times. Where they say the following,

“It’s then that he realizes he doesn’t represent the U.S.A.; he is on Earth to protect everyone.”

It’s amazing how they get the idea that he has renounced his citizenship when he only says he’s going to. I think even the writers of the comic book, know they would be treading on dangerous waters and they are not stupid enough to do that (although I could be wrong) knowing they could lose a lot of American readers.

Of course it’s not just the anti-US media and bloggers. We also see this on the very pro-American side. Where apparently they think, this is just some anti-American propaganda. As part of some kind of conspiracy. And I don’t doubt we’ll hear about Glenn Beck saying it’s all part of a secret plan to destroy America and install a one world government.

But really, who cares? It’s a comic book character for crying out loud… And America doesn’t get to say how the storylines for Superman will evolve. The owners and writers of the Superman character and comic book other ones who get to deem how the story’s move along.

The way I see it, at least it’s something new. I don’t know how many times we’ve seen the same repeated storyline just a little bit different over the years. I mean, how many different ways can Superman defeat Lex Luther before we finally get bored? If anything, this is an interestingly new twist to the Superman saga.

Besides, I think we have a far better candidate for an American hero the Superman. No, not Capt. America with his oversized shield. If anything, we should probably revoke his US citizen status and call him Capt. United Nations. It’s just utterly humiliating to have him as an American hero. No, I’m talking about a real American hero. That’s far better. And that is, Wonder Woman.

Think about it. What better person to represent America then an absolutely beautiful dominatrix woman wearing a tight skimpy red, white and blue outfit, lassoing men in and tying them up and making them say what she wants to hear from them?

Now this would make for a great joke in the next Naked Gun movie. But this is no joke. Syria is actually is joining the United Nations human rights Council. While it’s partaking in atrocities against its own civilians. Well its taking a brake for this.

When I see the United Nations continuously doing stupid things like this, it makes me wonder how does anybody take the UN serious? It’s a bloody joke… I think idea behind the United Nations is a good idea, but unfortunately, the United Nations seems to be going down the same path as the League of Nations in many ways.

I feel like we’re wasting money giving it to the United Nations when they do such stupid things as this. Has America fell asleep behind the wheel? And what kind of message are we sending to the rest of the world when we not standing up for what is right and just?
